Her PhD investigated food intake behaviour in cancer with a focus on appetite stimulation and improvement of taste and smell perception using marijuana therapy. She studied appetite and reward related pathways in healthy and disease populations, and explored mechanisms which may cause a surfeit (obesity) or deficit (cancer) of calories. Tristin also recently completed her Master’s in Business and Science (MBS) in Global Food Technology and Innovation from Rutgers University.
